Laser cutting for prototypes and small to medium batches
HABA Research manufactures custom metal parts in Craiova, Romania: laser cutting, CNC bending, MIG/TIG welding, CNC machining and powder coating in one workflow.
Laser cutting services for metal parts
We produce laser-cut metal parts for industrial clients, workshops, equipment integrators, machine builders, metal furniture projects and custom technical applications. We work from DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES or dimensioned PDF files and can continue the project with bending, welding, assembly and finishing.
The complete workflow reduces delays between multiple suppliers: send the drawing, we check material and tolerances, quote quickly and deliver parts ready for assembly or further operations.
Suitable for
- functional prototypes
- small and medium batches
- metal enclosures and panels
- brackets, flanges, plates and clamps
- welded and powder-coated assemblies
Common materials
Steel S235-S355, stainless steel AISI 304/316/430/441, aluminium EN AW-1050A/5754/6061/6082, galvanized sheet and copper.
Accepted files
DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES and technical PDF files with dimensions, tolerances, material, thickness, finish and quantity.
Fast lead times
Fast response to requests and production based on complexity, quantity and material availability.
How we work
1. Send the drawing
Upload CAD/STEP/DXF files or send us the technical PDF.
2. Technical check
We confirm material, thickness, tolerances, bends and finishes.
3. Quote and production
Receive the quote, approve the details and we schedule laser cutting.
4. Delivery
We deliver locally, nationwide or across Europe, depending on the project.
Frequently asked questions
What information is needed for a quote?
We need the technical file, material, thickness, quantity, tolerances and requested finish.
Can you deliver finished parts?
Yes. We can combine laser cutting with bending, welding, grinding and powder coating.
Do you work only in Craiova?
Production is based in Craiova, but we deliver parts in Romania and across Europe.
Can you produce small batches?
Yes. We work on prototypes as well as small and medium batches for B2B clients.
Capabilities for B2B RFQs
From technical file to a part ready for the next operation
For Laser cutting, we review the project as part of the complete manufacturing flow. Final machine parameters, tolerances and lead time are confirmed after the files and project requirements have been reviewed.
What to send
DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES or dimensioned PDF; material, thickness, quantity, critical dimensions, finish and target date.
What we review
Geometry, manufacturability, the relationship between operations, functional areas and packing or delivery requirements.
What we can coordinate
Laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, milling, turning, deburring, powder coating and light assembly.
A production route for prototypes, batches and finished products
1. Technical package
One consistent set of files and requirements.
2. Review
We clarify material, critical dimensions and required operations.
3. Manufacture
We produce the parts and coordinate approved operations.
4. Delivery preparation
Finishing, assembly or protective packing as required.
Do you have a drawing for laser cutting?

Upload fileLaser cutting in Romania: the short answer for industrial buyers
HABA Research converts DXF, DWG, STEP or dimensioned PDF drawings into laser-cut metal parts and can continue the same project with CNC bending, welding, machining, finishing and protective packing. The service covers prototypes, one-off components and small to medium batches in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, galvanized sheet and other materials confirmed during quotation. Manufacturing is based in Craiova, Romania, with delivery available across Romania and the European Union. A useful RFQ includes material grade, thickness, quantity, functional tolerances, required finish and target delivery date.
Manufacturability review before production
We review contours, holes, edge distances and the relationship between cutting, bending and welding. Critical dimensions are clarified before production so the design remains functional without unnecessary cost.
One workflow for finished parts
Parts can be deburred, bent, welded, machined and powder coated. Approved files and requirements also make repeat batches easier to quote and inspect.
