Material and geometry
Choose an available material and standard thickness where the design permits. Bends, flanges and ribs may provide stiffness more efficiently than thicker sheet.
Secondary operations
Specify threads, welds, manual deburring and special finishes where they serve a clear function. Setup, cutting waste, bending, welding, finish and packaging all contribute to cost.
Plan the batch
Prototypes favour flexibility. For repeat batches, agreed design adjustments may reduce production time per part. Send STEP/DXF/PDF, quantity and functional requirements for a project-specific review.
