For subcontract parts, the relevant price is the cost of a conforming part delivered to destination. Machine purchase prices or foreign electricity rates do not estimate a part quotation.
Material and sheet utilisation
Grade, thickness, availability and quantity influence cost. Part geometry and nesting determine how efficiently sheet material is used.
Cutting geometry
Contour length, piercings, small features and edge requirements affect processing time. Geometry must be checked against the specified material and thickness.
Operations after cutting
Deburring, bending, drilling, tapping, welding, coating, inspection and packaging can cost more than cutting itself. Request the complete manufacturing route.
