Frequently asked questions
Is DXF enough for quoting?
For simple flat parts, often yes. For critical parts, PDF is better too.
Can I send multiple parts in one file?
Yes, if they are clearly identified.
DXF, STEP and PDF serve different purposes
DXF is effective for flat laser-cut contours, STEP shows the final 3D part or assembly, and a dimensioned PDF carries tolerances, threads, notes and critical surfaces. A clean DXF can be enough for a simple flat part, but bent or welded components are quoted more reliably when the 3D model and technical drawing confirm the intended final geometry.
